Right now I am using Canon T3. I chose this camera because it was my first DSLR so I wanted something simple but still give me good results. It is a light weight camera so great for traveling. I am not going to get into the pixels and ISO blah blah blah… since I only care about how the pictures look at the end.
T3 is a good entry DSLR camera. The price is about $300 USD right now which I think is good for the quality of the photos I have taken. My choices were between Nikon and Canon but I felt that Canon was easier for me to use (aka the buttons on the camera were easier to understand and use). I did try using the default lens that came with the camera (the EF-S 18-55mm) for a while. I didn’t like it very much because it gave out poor images. Then I decided to get the EF 50mm f/1.8 and saw a drastic improvement in the quality of the photos.
All in all, I think this is a good camera for people wanting to start using DSLR. It is not too complicated too maneuver and give decent pictures.
