We had to cut short our trip to Da Nang due to a storm that could have trapped us in Da Nang for a few more days than we wanted.

This was in the middle of September. There was a big storm that was going through Da Nang. So the night before the storm would have hit, we got plane tickets that left early next morning. We planned to stay in Da Nang for about three days but only stayed for one night. The weather wasn’t great for visiting anyways so we didn’t miss out much.

But for that half-day we had in Da Nang, we did visit the famous dragon bridge. This bridge was build to look like a dragon floating over the Han river. Oh…and the “dragon” also blowout fire during the weekend!

Eventhough we only get to spend a short time in Da Nang, I would still recommend you visit this place. Especially if you are going to visit Hoi An, Da Nang is only about 90 min from Hoi An.

This picture was taken from my hotel room in Da Nang. As you can see, the weather is not great. There are beaches there you can use if weather permitted.Β The beach in the picture was actually the beach I used to visit when I was a kid (pretty neat right?).
